The Ninja Chopper Review
The Ninja Chopper is a great kitchen tool that provides all-in-one capabilities. You can use it to prep your ingredients, or even produce entire recipes if you wanted.
Every kitchen requires some sort of chopping and cutting equipment. Even though every kitchen provides knives, this does not ensure complete convenience. When I was given the option to take the Ninja for a test drive, I opening welcomed the opportunity. I wondered to what extent I could use this machine, and if it could handle most food prep work I would otherwise have to manually do.
What’s included in the Box?
The Ninja Chopper includes many blades, high power, and an extra processing bowl. This machine does everything including chopping, processing, and blending. It aims at being your go-to appliance in your kitchen. In fact, the front of the box itself states in large font, “Crush, Blend, Chop”.
The extras and physical features of the machine include:
- Three work vessels with an interchangeable motor head
- Work bow
- 40 & 48-ounce pitcher
- 6 blades (large pitcher), 4 blades (small pitcher or work bowl)
How Well Does it Work?
The machine actually works quite well. The 450 watt motor is powerful enough for all your kitchen needs. Large items are processed in seconds, while small ones don’t get caught under the blades. I actually found that the machine works almost too well, and accidentally almost turned my salsa into sauce for my first batch. Turns out that a light touch was all I needed for the perfect chop. Trial and error was the best way of learning about this machine, and so far everything is working just fine.
Apart from the motor, everything about this machine is dishwasher safe. After I cleaned it, I tried to go a bit further and make some smoothies. After seeing what it did to my salsa, I was not surprised at all to see how fast my fruit were blended. I only needed to press lightly a few times, and the smoothie was done. Having those six blades additionally helped all the ingredients mix together a lot easier.
I should mention that every vessel has a lid, so it’s really easy for you to switch out the vessels you want in an instant. You can save something for later if you want, and choose the vessel you want to work on at the time. This three-vessel system is really great for the regular kitchen multi-tasker. I can stick a vessel in the fridge, place another in the washer, and use the third one to prepare some food. It’s very convenient.
The Ninja Chopper comes with a recipe book that can inspire you to try out a bunch of different meals and snacks. I found that the book actually provides a decent amount of great recipes, which was surprising. Not only can you make simple salsas and smoothies; but you can make dips, desserts, marinades, soups, etc. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to have one of these multi-purpose machines in your kitchen
The Ninja Chopper Abilities Reviewed
You probably have owned your share of food choppers in the past, from cheap Wal-Mart brands to Magic Bullet sets. The fact is that the Ninja Chopper surpasses them all. Negative reviews like that one are usually out of place and random. The Ninja actually does not produce any inconsistent, thick liquids at all. The blades are actually at the top of the jar in the Ninja, so it’s a lot easier to reach all the food.
Cleaning is quite easy as well, and the only thing you should keep in mind is how sharp the blades are. If you browse the Ninja’ competition, you’ll notice that most of them only includes two blades. Some of the better ones will place the two blades at different heights. However, the Ninja Chopper has four different blades, all at different heights. It really is amazing, and is even offered in a green color to be aesthetically-pleasing on your counter top.
The Ninja is a fairly small chopper with a size of 2 cups, but it still is larger than most others that hold 1.5 cups. To accommodate its size, make sure you chop larger ingredients separately, like onions. Smaller batches will be completely easy, though. All you’ll need to do is throw everything in and get to chopping.
One of the product reviews have stated that someone broke the machine by not placing the blades all the way in. However, you won’t have any issues with this issue if you follow one of the most important step stated in the instructions and press the blade all the way in. Even if you want to add to the mixture during the process, you should not lift the blade up.

This is a great feature the machine offers, since you should always keep your working area clean for the next person who comes along. The product initially comes with six cups, but you can also choose to buy more. This chopper is an impressive member of the Ninja product family.
